Most vision models expect a fixed number of input bands. DOFA conditions on wavelength instead, so a single model accepts Sentinel-2, SAR, NAIP or hyperspectral input without a separate version per sensor.
It returns embeddings only. There is no task head, so a classifier is fitted on top.
It suits projects combining several sensors that would otherwise require a separate model for each instrument.
