DBloops clusters points by density to derive grain-size distributions and detect boulders in 3D point clouds. It was developed for geomorphology and applies to rock glaciers, talus and coarse sediment surfaces.
It detects clasts but does not classify them; the upstream clast-matrix classifier is not included.
The license is GPL-3.0, a copyleft license. The tool also ships a MATLAB Compiler binary, so MATLAB’s runtime terms apply on top.

Run DBloops on your data
The lab runs this on its own compute, in a container, with the inputs and parameters recorded alongside the result. Initial scoping conversations are free.
