Copernicus-FM is an Earth-observation encoder that takes a spectral sensor’s bands by wavelength and bandwidth rather than by a fixed band list, so Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3 imagery all pass through the same model. Its embeddings can be used with the encoder frozen or fine-tuned, for classification, segmentation, change detection and regression.
The model code is MIT through TorchGeo, and the weights are CC-BY-4.0, which requires attribution to Wang et al. (2025).
